Can you share your professional background, including your journey from Chemical Engineering to leadership roles in global blue-chip companies, and how these experiences shaped your identity before becoming a solopreneur?
[Cas] I began my professional journey in Chemical Engineering, graduating from the University of Coimbra. Engineering sharpened my analytical thinking, discipline, and problem-solving mindset. These capabilities guided my leadership roles in global companies in Ecolab, Buckman and Kemira.
Leading multicultural teams, navigating high-pressure environments, and managing organizational transformations shaped who I became as a leader. I committed to creating workplaces where people feel seen, heard, and valued. Long before I became a coach, I was already living the principles that would later become Bring the Best.
- Transition From Corporate to Coaching
What inspired your transition from a global corporate career to founding Bring the Best and what was the defining moment that made you take this leap?
[Cas] My transition into coaching wasn’t sudden. It was an awakening. After nearly two decades in global corporate roles, I realised what truly fulfilled me wasn’t hitting quarterly targets; it was witnessing people grow.
A transformative session with Stephen Shedletzky from Simon Sinek Inc. served as a mirror. It helped me realise that my deeper purpose was to help others become courageous leaders. That moment planted the seed of Bring the Best.
Founding Bring the Best became my way of turning purpose into impact.

What core mission, values, and philosophies guide your coaching work today, and how do you combine mentoring, coaching, and consulting to create meaningful impact?
[Cas] My mission is clear: to change lives by creating abundance in the lives of people and organisations so that we can live in a more prosperous world. Bring the Best stands on four core values:

How would you describe your current work, leadership style, client approach, and the unique elements that differentiate your coaching practice in Portugal’s competitive and unregulated coaching landscape?
[Cas] Today, I work as a leadership, executive, and business coach with entrepreneurs, executives, and multicultural teams, from Portuguese SMEs to global corporations.
My coaching style is rooted in psychological safety, empathy, strategic thinking, and constructive challenge.

What significant challenges did you face in your journey, both personally and professionally, and how have these experiences helped you grow and strengthen your practice?
[Cas] Leaving a stable corporate career for a purpose was one of my biggest challenges. Another was overcoming imposter syndrome—especially as global visibility grew through publications such as Forbes Founders, Brainz Magazine, ICON, and others.
I’ve also navigated, during my corporate career, deeply human challenges: team restructuring, the loss of a team member, and the arrest of another team member.
These moments taught me that leadership lives in the invisible: presence, empathy, resilience, and humanity.
