His academic training specialized in the bioprocessing of cell and gene therapies, with a particular focus on next-generation immunotherapies, including CAR-T cells, gamma-delta T cells, and extracellular vesicles (EVs), a novel class of cell-free therapeutic medicines and nanoscale delivery systems.
Over time, Dr. George’s research expanded into understanding how engineered cells and vesicles communicate with the immune system and deliver molecular therapies without reliance on viral vectors.
